Dog-friendly campsite

Winners in the category 'Most dog-friendly campsite' Denmark

Dogs are always welcome at Ringkøbing Camping, just like all other pets. For your dog, this is the right place.

Dog Forest

The campsite is located in the middle of "Femhøjsande Plantation", which is a dog forest, among other things. On one side of the campsite lies the boundary to the dog forest. Here, your dog can roam without a leash, but with a companion.

The dog forest is about 20 hectares large and belongs to the Nature Agency. The forest is so large that there is room for everyone. One of the few dog forests where you can actually walk for several hours without seeing it all. At the western end of the plantation, there is a campsite with tables and benches and a nature playground.

Some children and adults are afraid of dogs, so even though you know that your dog just wants to greet and sniff a little, you should be aware if the other holidaymakers want to greet it. For the sake of the other campers, please remember to keep your dog on a leash in the area, so that everyone can move around safely.

Another thing you as a dog owner should remember is to pick up your dog's droppings in a waste bag and throw it in the general waste container. Free dog bags are available outside at the reception.

Beaches

The wide, white sandy beaches are lovely playgrounds for your dog on a leash during the summer season from April 1 to September 30. In the winter season from October 1 to March 31, dogs do not need to be on a leash on the beach, as long as you are sure you can call them back to you. However, there may be certain beaches where dogs must always be on a leash and also in certain areas where, for the sake of vulnerable flora and fauna, dogs are completely prohibited. Therefore, pay attention to signage on site.
